Will the puppy come health certified?

Yes, upon inspection and approval of Dr. Harland Sprouse at 8 weeks or older. You will receive the original health certificate with your puppies’ paperwork.

top

top

Do I get a copy of the health records?

Yes. The health records, weight, birth date and other information will be noted on your puppies’ Record of Disposition.

top

Do you offer Micro Chipping?

Yes, upon request. The cost is roughly $30.

top

Is the puppy AKC registered?

With the exception of Akitas, we sell all our purebred dogs with unlimited registration rights. We support several reputable pet registries including: AKC, APRI, UAB and the ACA. On our website, the registry is always noted in the puppies' description. *The AKC was America’s original pet registry so nearly all dogs registered in the United States are AKC transferable.

top

Must I complete a puppy application?

Yes, if adopting an Akita. We encourage all buyers to complete our online application, but it is not mandatory for any breed other than Akita. *We offer a $20 discount for the completion of our puppy application.

top

What is your waiting list policy?

We offer two types of waiting lists. Our “call list” simply means you request an email or phone call to notify you of our next litter’s arrival and web postings. The call list is free and granted upon verbal or written request.

Our “waiting list” is free too, but requires a non refundable $50 deposit, and the completion of the online Puppy Application prior to whelping (birth). The waiting list grants you pick of the litter (POL) rights in the order received, and guarantees that you will see the puppy photos and videos before they are made available to the public.

Your entire $50 deposit is applied toward the final purchase price. Your POL rights are honored for a limited time. If unable to make a selection in a timely manner (up to 6 weeks of age) the litter will be made available to the next applicant in line, or to the general public. If you don’t find the puppy you want from the present litter, you may transfer to the next waiting list, choose from another breed, or forfeit your deposit.

When can I get my puppy?

Puppies are released at 8 weeks of age or older. We reserve the right to hold a puppy longer if further development, healthcare or socializing is needed. Puppies will not be released or reserved until agreed payment has been received and the funds have been verified.

If purchasing via PayPal using a credit or debit card, and shipping commercially to your nearest airport, the process typically takes 2 to 5 days. If paying with an eCheck, cashier’s check or by mail the process could take as long as 10 days. Of course, purchasing in person and paying with cash or a postal money order the adoption is immediate.

top

Can I change the puppies’ name?

Yes. Nicknames are for reference only. We do our best to address all puppies by “boy” or “girl” to avoid name change confusion. *If you like the nickname or decide on a call name let us know and we’ll start using it right away.

top

Will you hold my puppy until I’m ready?

Yes, within reason. We hold puppies up to 10 days past release date for free. A $3 per day kenneling fee begins when holding a puppy beyond 10 days of scheduled release date. *With most breeds, we recommend that you adopt your puppy as close to 8 weeks of age as possible.

top

May I pick up my puppy in person?

Yes. You must first schedule an appointment and agree to our visiting policies. You can find our physical address, phone numbers and driving directions on our contact page. *We do not accept personal checks or credit/debit cards on site.

top

Can someone else pick my puppy up?

Yes at the airport. Prior to booking your flight, you may request that someone else pick your puppy up at the airport on your behalf. We will need this persons’ full name, address and cell phone number to book the flight. Most airlines require a signature and two forms of valid ID. *No third party shipping or non client pick ups are allowed at our facility.

top

How does commercial air shipping work?

Simple, safe and reliable. We provide a high quality pet carrier absolutely free and do our best to book the fastest, safest, most affordable flight available. Our puppies depart from Kansas City MCI and arrive the same day at your nearest commercial airport. We have shipped puppies all over the US and even Canada with no problems to date. Aside from the occasional flight or traffic delay most of our clients say they unite right on time and their puppy arrived safe and sound with tail a waggin’. Find more information on our Policies page.

top

What is the cost of commercial shipping?

As of January, 2011 commercial air travel for small breeds is roughly $225, and around $300 for large breeds. Please contact us for a free shipping quote.

top

What is my pick up procedure at the airport?

Usually the pick up location is at the cargo facility avoiding the crowded passenger terminal all together. The puppy comes prepaid, but they will require two forms of ID and a signature. Most of our clients say the pick up process was fun and exciting and much easier than anticipated.

We’ll email you a detailed flight plan and pick up instructions the moment we book your flight. This will include the reference and flight numbers as well as arrival time and pick up time and location. We’ll give you the address and phone number of your local office as well as our private cell number incase of emergency.

You may wish to bring a collar and leash along and offer your puppy some water and a potty break, preferably some place less frequented by animals. If traveling home alone please use the pet carrier. If blessed with a passenger we suggest bringing a towel or blanket for their lap. *If a puppy becomes car sick, scared or overly excited in transit, it’s usually best they travel in a pet carrier.

top

Do you offer any other delivery methods?

Yes. We can personally meet you part way (up to 250 miles) at .50 per mile. We seldom use, but also offer some home / ground delivery services. The cost is often higher than air travel and transit time is usually 2 to 7 days. Please Contact us for a ground shipping quote, or view our Policies page for more information and delivery options.
